Join a Virtual Prayer Team for Rikers Island

About this Opportunity
"Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work." - Oswald Chambers

Prison Fellowship's Virtual Prayer team is looking for those who are called to the ministry of intercession, have a deep concern for the state of our prisons today, and have a keen desire is to see lives transformed. Prayer Team members will intercede for the ministry of Prison Fellowship at Rikers Island, with the hopes of seeing one of the most violent facilities in the country become something new -- something only the "God of the impossible" can do!

Prayer Team members will receive an email once or twice a week with specific prayer points and will commit to praying consistently (daily or 5 times a week). All prospective volunteers must first review this guide to determine if you are called to be an intercessor for Rikers Island, and read through the Prayer Team overview and commitments

If you are interested in moving forward, please sign up through the "request more information" link above. From there, you will receive details to set up a phone interview with the prayer team leader and resources to prepare you for becoming an intercessor for prison ministry. Please note that by requestion information this is specifically for the prayer team, and not a volunteering opportunity.
