Avail is a confidential care network for those confirming and making decisions about unplanned pregnancies and those seeking support after an abortion.
Volunteer candidates must feel comfortable meeting with clients in high stress situations and be great listeners. Female After-Abortion Client Advocates serve clients who are struggling from a past abortion experience. There are two roles available for the after-abortion client advocate. One is meeting with clients on a one-on-one basis and/or co-leading a 9 week support group (Avail curriculum provided) to help client's who are seeking after abortion healing. Extensive training is provided. A minimum of one year volunteer commitment is required.
Avail offers client's both remote sessions or in-person sessions. Volunteers are able to select based on schedule preferences. Vaccination is required for in-person service only.
