The Father's Heart

Serve Children & Youth in the East Village

About this Opportunity

The Father's Heart KidZone program is an after-school, open recreation program which also functions as a soup kitchen. In addition to providing hot meals for the children, teens and families who attend, the Father's Heart staff and volunteers offer educational, recreational and social programs for their guests.

In-person volunteers are needed to serve on Tuesdays from 5:45 - 7pm. Volunteers serve in several ways, whether it's serving the meal, providing tutoring/homework support to students, leading activities and games, and more.

Because Father's Heart is a faith based, Christian organization, and volunteers are building relationships with kids, we ask that volunteers share the same faith and also be Christian. However, the meal service at Father's Heart is open to all faith backgrounds!

Volunteers will be asked to wear a mask. All volunteers must pass a background check.

Once you request information below a staff member from The Father's Heart will be in touch with you on scheduling a date to visit the program. Because there are steps to getting involved, it may take a few weeks for you to begin volunteering.
