About this Opportunity

Since the 1870s, The Bowery Mission has served generations of New Yorkers experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. Our mission is to see lives transformed – delivering hope and healing through the power of Jesus Christ.

Join The Bowery Mission's dedicated team in the clothing room, where you will play a vital role in sorting donated clothes and distributing to our community members in need.

  • Morning shifts run from 10:00am-11:30am on Mondays-Saturdays.
  • Afternoon shifts run from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
  • This position is perfect for compassionate individuals who are organized, enjoy hands-on work, and want to make a direct impact in the lives of others.
  • During this opportunity, volunteers will assist in sorting donated clothing and accessories by type, size, and condition to ensure the clothing room is well-organized and easily navigable.
