The Father's Heart

Serve Breakfast to Homeless & Hungry New Yorkers

About this Opportunity

The Father's Heart Hunger Prevention Program consists of a soup kitchen and food pantry, open every Saturday except the first Saturday of the month. Approximately 700 people are fed in our soup kitchen and are served eggs, potatoes, cereal, bread, fruit, juice, coffee and milk. In an effort to restore a sense of dignity to those ordinarily relegated to food lines, the guests are seated and served an all-you-can-eat hot breakfast in a restaurant-style setting. Guests are also encouraged to take part in the food pantry program, which supplies emergency and supplemental food in grocery bags.

Volunteers will prepare and serve breakfast to homeless and hungry New Yorkers in the East Village.

Due to The Father's Heart Ministries' Child Protection Policy, volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers between the ages of 14 and 18 must be supervised by a parent/guardian.

Volunteers will be required to wear a mask.
