Mentor High School Students in Academic Program

About this Opportunity
Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies is a public high school located in the historic Morris High School campus in the south Bronx. The Morris Academy Mentors program aims to help the mentee participants develop the skills they need to succeed both personally and professionally by providing practical guidance.

Volunteer mentors meet as a group two Saturdays a month from 9:30-11:30am, usually every other Saturday, for sessions dedicated to a particular topic (e.g., study skills) or social event. There are 14-15 group sessions each year, with most sessions lasting 2-3 hours. The program runs on a school year schedule, and requires a 1 year commitment for all volunteer mentors.

Volunteers must complete an online application before becoming a mentor. You will receive the link to complete the application when you request information above. Because there is a process involved, it may take a few weeks for you to begin volunteering.
