Tutor Youth from Harlem Schools

About this Opportunity
StreetSquash is an after-school youth enrichment program that combines academic tutoring and support with squash instruction, college access and success programming, leadership development, community service and one-on-one mentoring. Tutors work with 1-2 students during after-school and Saturday homework sessions to complete their daily homework, study for tests, and work on supplemental materials. Volunteers are needed for all subject areas from 6th grade Social Studies to 12th grade AP Chemistry.Schedule:
6th Grade
Thursdays 3:30 - 4:45pm and 4:45 - 6pm,
Fridays 5:45-6:30pm
7th Grade Tuesdays 3:30 - 4:45pm and 4:45 - 6pm,
Fridays 3:45-4:30pm
8th Grade Mondays, Wednesdays 3:30 - 4:45pm and 4:45 - 6pm,
Friday 4:45-5:30p
9th Grade Tuesdays, Thursdays 3:30 - 4:45pm and 4:45 - 6pm
10th Grade Mondays, Wednesdays 3:30 - 4:45pm, 4:45 - 6pm
11th Grade Tuesdays, Thursdays 4:45 - 6pm 12th Grade Mondays, Wednesdays 3:30-4:45pm; Wednesdays 4:45-6pmSaturday High School Tutoring 1:15-2:15pm and 2:30-3:30pmQualifications:Must be in 10th grade or above to work with middle school or graduated from high school to work with high school. Must be able to help out regularly (ideally in the same session each week). Must be able to commit to coming for at least the semester if not the whole year.
