About this Opportunity
|The Pathways Mentoring Program provides one-on-one mentors for middle and high school students in an interactive partnership with the Inwood Academy for Leadership. The target population is predominantly low-income Hispanic youth, mostly from first generation immigrant families, from the neighborhoods of Washington Heights, Inwood and the northeast Bronx.|
Pathways Mentoring Program of Washington Heights and Inwood equips community leaders to mentor youth by building character, developing community leaders and preparing them for the future.
Mentoring opportunities consist of a weekly commitment for the duration of the school year (September-May). Our programs take place before school begins with both middle school and high school students at a local school in Inwood, Manhattan
Volunteers will be asked to complete an application and submit references, have an in-person interview, a background check, and training. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to serve.
