Are you interested in learning more about the opportunity to befriend one isolated person with a disability in NYC? Attend our in person orientation session in Midtown Manhattan!
Many of our neighbors with disabilities in NYC live in profound social isolation today. The majority of the people who come through Do For One will share that there is no one in their life who is not PAID to spend time with them, apart from possibly a parent.
At our seasonal orientation, Do For One staff share about why the main issue we are combating as a program is NOT disability itself, but society’s negative response towards people with disabilities - and why personal and freely given relationships is our response.
Come and hear the story behind Do For One, our core values and philosophies surrounding relationship building across societal barriers, many examples of real enduring relationships across NYC, and finally, how YOU can get involved.
- The presentation will run promptly from 10:30-11:40AM.
- Doors open 10:15AM.
- There will be extended time from 11:40AM-12:15PM for Q+A and one on one conversations with Do For One Staff.
The workshop will be led by:

- Jane Yoon, Do For One’s Program Manager.
