Help Serve Meals to the Community

About this Opportunity
The Salvation Army is an international, faith-based charitable organization with a simple mission: to help those in need without discrimination. Volunteers serve a community meal with The Salvation Army in East Harlem. Volunteers set up the tables and chairs, serve the meal, and clean up. Volunteers can also interact with the guests and offer prayer and encouragement.

As the increase in need for food assistance has more than tripled, volunteers are needed to help us served bagged lunches to our most vulnerable neighbors living in East Harlem.

Due to the rise of Covid19 cases in our area and the safety of our volunteers the following regulations have been established:
  1.  A negative Covid 19 test result must be presented upon arrival. The test should be done 3-5 days before volunteering.
  2. You will fill out a Covid 19 waiver form upon arrival and TS staff will take your temperature.
  3. Wear a mask (covering nose and mouth) at all times.
  4. Wash your hands frequently.
  5. Maintain at least 6' apart from other volunteer team members.
  6. If you have been exposed to Covid-19 or  not feeling well physically, we ask that you stay home. Your safety and the safety of you loved ones is our main concern.
