Teach ESL In-Person or Remotely

About this Opportunity

The Brooklyn Arab American Friendship Center is a place where Arab and Arab American families can come to learn English as a Second Language, develop meaningful friendships, and bridge cross-cultural barriers.

Make a difference and share the love of Christ with Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, by volunteering to teach ESL classes in-person or remotely. Volunteers commit to teaching once a week for 1.5 hours each week, teaching one class to beginners, intermediate or advanced students. Classes are held Monday-Thursdays each week.

  • In-person classes run from 10am-12pm and from 7-8:30pm.
  • Remote classes start at 11am and 3pm, with flexibility for other times, as well.

Due to the nature of the opportunity, we ask that all volunteers are Christians and attend a local church. Volunteers complete a volunteer application and interview with the center's director before serving.
