Teach Weeknight English Class for Arab American Community

About this Opportunity
The Brooklyn Arab American Friendship Center is a place where Arab and Arab American families can come to learn English as a Second Language, develop meaningful friendships, and bridge cross-cultural barriers. Volunteers lead men and women from the community in ESL classes Monday-Thursdays, teaching a class once a week and committing for at least six months. Volunteers are provided curriculum to follow, but can use their own creativity to engage the members of the class.

All volunteers must attend a local church. Before you can serve, you will need to complete a volunteer application and interview with the center's director. Please "Request Information" below to get the process started and a HFNY team leader will be in touch with you! Volunteers must be 24+ years old to serve.
