The Pathways Mentoring Program provides one-on-one mentors for middle and high school students in an interactive partnership with the Inwood Academy for Leadership. Students are predominantly low-income Hispanic youth, mostly from first generation immigrant families, from the neighborhoods of Washington Heights, Inwood and the northeast Bronx.
Committed volunteers are needed to mentor middle and high school students one day per week in the morning before school begins for the duration of the school year from September 2021 to June 2022.
Volunteers will be asked to complete an application and submit references, have an in-person interview, a background check, and training. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to serve.
