Don’t Walk By is an annual outreach that’s organized by the Rescue Alliance, a collaboration of faith-based organizations working together to restore the wellbeing of men, women, and children in New York City who are experiencing homelessness.

The weather changed. One day it was 50 degrees and the next it was 26. I’m no mathematician, but I believe that’s a 24 degree drop. 24 degrees in 24 hours. In my family, it meant jumping from sweatshirts to heavy jackets.
Since 2004, we've partnered with New York City Relief, a mobile bus outreach that serves our homeless neighbors at seven locations throughout New York City (and even two locations in New Jersey).
Each week, New York City Relief organizes eight outreaches, making sure their bus is parked outside specific locations (like The Bowery Mission or The Salvation Army) to offer various essentials such as soup, bread, socks, hygiene kits, and even prayer.
