Support our Graffiti Kids After-School Program by building positive, uplifting relationships with elementary-age children. Volunteers help students with homework, engage in fun and creative activities, and share the love of Christ through devotionals and conversation.
We’d love your support as we help children in our neighborhood strengthen their education and experience God’s love in tangible ways.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist students with homework and reading practice
- Participate in and help lead games, crafts, and other enrichment activities,
- Offer encouragement and model positive behavior, build consistent, caring relationships with children and their families
- Help staff with community outreach as we seek to grow this program
- Support staff in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment
Training and Time Commitment: Volunteers serve one or two afternoons per week (Mondays or Tuesdays preferred), from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Basic volunteer orientation and background check required prior to serving. Additional guidance and support provided by Graffiti staff during your service.
Skills and Qualifications Needed:
- A caring, patient attitude and genuine interest in working with children
- Reliability and commitment to attend consistently
- No prior teaching or tutoring experience required—just a willingness to learn and serve
Dress Code: Casual and modest attire suitable for active play and working with children
