When my family first moved to Park Slope, we were very aware of the blessing and beauty of this neighborhood, but I was sadly ignorant of the history, strife, and divisions that lay just under the surface. Now, 10 years into living in this neighborhood that has become our home, I am learning to see
Over the past year, God has reminded me through Ephesians 2:6 that I am seated with Christ. The work is done! I have a seat at his table…along with those he placed in my life to love. It is no longer a burden to serve on Sundays—it is a part of our family life that has brought us closer together.

Justice Reyes got involved drinking and doing drugs as a middle schooler to escape reality. After a car accident involving drinking and driving, he realized he needed help and went to Brooklyn Teen Challenge and found the fulfillment he had been craving.
