Join our Women’s Workout Class as a supportive volunteer to help create a welcoming, safe, and encouraging environment for immigrant women participating in weekly fitness sessions.
This volunteer role supports the instructor by assisting with logistics and fostering community—not by leading the class.
Key Responsibilities:
-Help set up and tear down equipment before and after class
-Greet and welcome participants as they arrive
-Participate in the workout alongside clients to encourage engagement
-Distribute water and assist clients during break times
-Promote a sense of safety, community, and friendship throughout the class
-Adhere to the SACC dress code (No shorts. Pants, capris or knee-length or longer dresses are fine. No tank tops, spaghetti straps, see-through or tight-fitting clothes, visible bra straps or leggings with oversized t-shirts.)
Qualifications:
-Must be in good physical condition and able to participate in a workout class
-Friendly, approachable, and culturally sensitive
-Reliable and punctual
-No prior fitness instruction experience required
Time Commitment:
-Once a week for 1.5 hours
A minimum commitment of at least one semester (Sept-Dec, Jan-May, June-July) is preferred.
