About this Opportunity
Every Thanksgiving Day, The Salvation Army in Greater New York hosts a community dinner for more than a thousand guests on 14th Street.
For many in our community, guests choose our dinner among others offered because of the warmth, dignity and delicious meals we are committed to serve.
Volunteers will serve in the following stations/roles:
Dining Room:
- 17 servers (one per table)
- 8 to bus tables
- 10 to plate meals at the serving line
Lobby:
- 2 servers (one per two tables)
- 2 to bus tables
- 2 runners to assist with meal distribution
Railton Hall:
- 2 greeters
- 3 for coffee/hot chocolate station
- 4-6 to distribute backpacks
- 8 additional volunteers if coats are received
