Staten Island, known as the “forgotten borough,” is actually the wealthiest of the five boroughs, boasting the highest median household income. Last year, it also had the highest rate of overdose deaths in the city, at 31.8 per 100,000 adults. Learn more about the community and how you can pray.

Free legal services available to low-income New Yorkers are limited and often inadequate—only 20 percent of legal needs of poor New Yorkers are being met. Join us in lifting up our neighbors who find themselves in troubling legal situations to our God who is restoring creation and bringing about justice.

Among women in New York City, single mothers are the most economically insecure. Additionally, women disproportionately face domestic violence. Because we serve a God who is strong and never forsakes, we lift up in prayer women across our city who are in vulnerable situations.

Six in 10 New Yorkers are either immigrants or children of immigrants, and many face challenges as they encounter a new language and culture. Join us in prayer for the holistic flourishing of all immigrants in our city.

Nearly 900,000 people in New York City live with disabilities. Lack of accessible transportation and housing, unequal education, unemployment, and poor health care are among the common barriers people with disabilities face. Join us in praying on behalf of these neighbors of ours.
