Teach Women to Knit and Crochet

About this Opportunity
The Knit and Crochet program at the Bowery Mission Women's Center is a great opportunity to build relationships with the women in the recovery program and teach them a new skill.

Female volunteers teach the women to knit or crochet, or to provide assistance as they work on projects. Volunteers will generally offer one-on-one support to the women and sometimes lead group knitting/crocheting projects.

Volunteers must already know how to knit OR crochet and be comfortable teaching others. The projects tend to be fairly simple, such as scarves and hats.

This event happens every other Monday evening, as scheduled.
  • The volunteer commitment is to serve at least once a month. Potential volunteers must complete an application for this opportunity
