Mentor Formerly Incarcerated in Entrepreneurs-in-Training Program

About this Opportunity
Defy Ventures provides carefully selected, ambitious men and women with criminal histories with life-changing entrepreneurship, leadership, and career opportunities through the Entrepreneurs-in-Training (EIT) program.Volunteers coach and mentor entrepreneurs as they participate in the EIT program. The commitment is typically three months long with the option to extend. Each week the mentor is expected to meet with their EIT in-person/phone/Skype for approx an hour. Mentors are provided a syllabus and access to training courses to assist their EITs, so the overall commitment per week including prep is between 1-2 hours. Mentors are expected to engage with their EIT through business coaching (ideation, planning, execution), career coaching (job search help, providing connections), and most importantly life coaching (sharing your experiences, successes, and failures to help your EIT manage adversity and become a better person).*Volunteers must be business professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, investors, philanthropists, etc. to serve. You can request information below to be contacted about your interest in mentoring and attending the mentor match night on July 28th.
