Serve at Christmas Event for Mentees and their Families

About this Opportunity
Mont Lawn City Camp (MLCC) is a faith-based mentoring and enrichment program for children in the South Bronx and East Harlem.

City Camp helps children build resilience and thrive, with the goal that they grow into adults who are spiritually grounded, economically self-sufficient, have healthy relationships and positively contribute to their communities.

Every year, they host a Christmas party with the participants, their families, and mentors of their mentoring program, Leadership Academy. There will be lunch, fun activities, gifts, and a gingerbread house competition. This event also gives the program staff the opportunity to share the gospel with the mentees' families.

Volunteers will decorate and set-up for the event, interact with the families, help serve food, assist in leading worship and chapel, and clean up and take down decorations after the event has ended.

If volunteers cannot participant for the full day, then she/he can do a set-up, event-time or breakdown shift within the time frame indicated below.
