The Bowery Mission Women's Center
The Bowery Mission Women's Center, located on the Upper East Side, offers homeless women a nine month residential recovery and transitional program that includes spiritual grounding, emotional equipping and economic empowerment through which their lives are transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.

Flexible Volunteer Opportunities:
Career Center Tutor- Teach GED, ESL, job-readiness or computer curriculum to clients. A weekly commitment is required for at least three months. Daytime or evenings for one-on-one tutoring, flexible start dates. For more information contact Debbie Jonnes:
Life Skills Class Teacher- Teach group classes in areas such as budgeting, parenting, anger management, housing search, boundaries, legal rights, co-dependency etc. Prior experience in teaching and topics required. Workshops can be evenings or weekend afternoons. Weekly commitment for six to eight weeks required. For more information contact Stacy Landau:
Workshop Teacher- Lead workshops in creative areas such as poetry, music, drama, crafts, sewing, etc. Skills in the area taught are a prerequisite. Workshops can be evenings or weekend afternoons. Three workshop commitment minimum. For more information contact Stacy Landau:
