Hope for New York

Kids With A Promise is a ministry that seeks to minister to New York City's most at-risk children and youth by loving them unconditionally and providing a caring, nurturing environment where they can learn and grow. Kids With A Promise manages After-School Programs, a summer camp, and NYC-based day camps for children. Activities include academic tutoring as well as activities centered on performing arts, outdoor education, Bible study, and special trips. Kids With A Promise also operates a mentoring program called the Leadership Academy for its 13-16 year-old graduates. 

The Leadership Academy is a mentoring and leadership development program for youth, who have grown out of Kids With A Promise’s children’s programs.  The 13-to 16-year-old participants are selected because of their character and their desire to be servant leaders.  The first two years of the Leadership Academy entail group and individual mentoring with a focus on developing the skills needed to be successful in college and the workplace.  After the first two years, students participate in job shadowing, college test prep and internships.
